After showing a high standard of leadership skills and the ability to effectively motivate and support the staff in the baby suite I was promoted to Senior Nursery Nurse.
• My responsibilities included general day to day care of the children ie/ learning routines, keeping them stimulated and happy, changing nappies, putting the children to sleep, feeding them and so on.
• I comunicated with parents and carers on a daily basis to ensure the best care for their child, also communicating with other proffesionals where needed.
• I completed keyworkers files, keeping them updated monthly with records of the childs developments and achievments.
• I was responsible for a small team of staff, making sure they fully understood all aspects of nursery life and provided excellent care for the children in our care.
• Along with the rest of my team I was responsible for keeping the room looking bright and inviting with displays etc, also keeping the rooms clean and tidy.
• I delegated, organised and planned.
• I devised and introduced new rotas to ensure everything ran smoothly.
• I planned/implemented and evaluated monthy topics and themes, with a wide variety of activities so we always had lots of ideas ready to keep the children stimulated and entertained at all times.

Thomas Cook is a large travel company who strive to provide an excelent holiday experience for all there guests.
• I spent most of my time entertaining and caring for children while on their holiday between the ages 6months and 12years through free play and structured activities in the kids club setting.
• Three times a week along with my team I constructed themed parties including face painting and party games.
• Daily childrens mini disco, encouraging the children to join in with the dances and games.
• I dealt with many different children and adults in the holiday setting.
• Occassionaly I was involved with performing on stage with the entertainers.
• My job role involved being a confident public speaker during welcome meetings, guiding events and airport transfers.
• I was involved with selling merchandise and events, cash handling and liquidating.
