I have eight years of babysitting and child minding experience. At the age of fourteen I attended Macleans college in Bucklands Beach, Auckland. Whilst studying I had two babysitting jobs. The first was Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 7:00pm. I was looking after a nine month old girl and still occasionally babysit her (she is now almost 9) and her two younger brothers. The second was a casual weekend job looking after two primary school aged children who were my parent's, friend's children. I also had several other casual babysitting jobs, all for primary school aged children.
Since leaving school I started a job in hospitality but still had several babysitting jobs for friends of the family and people from both my Mum and Dad's work.
I moved with my family to New Zealand in 2004 from England. Since moving here my Mum worked at a school called Waimakoia. This was a school for children with extreme behavioural problems and also medical issues such as ADHD. I helped out at the school on all my days off and on weekends and school outings also. This proved to be a big test of not only patience but courage and strength needed to help children from not so good backgrounds.
Waimakoia closed two years ago and since then my Mum has worked at Farm Cove intermediate which again I have helped out on school trips and other events at the school. since the closure of Waimakoia we have welcomed into our home foster children and I have cared for these while my parents have been at work. (I have been their full-time nanny) In recent months we have acquired older children that go to primary and intermediate now so I am no longer needed, that is why I am offering my services to you.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me!
