Work Experience:
I had work experience in a confectionary/ baking business but sadly it closed down before I could get a full-time job. I did voluntary work at a pet shop in Christchurch for a short time. As my father is a vet I have been involved in taking care and breeding animals, e.g. rabbits, mice, and guinea-pigs. I also did breed Flemish Giant rabbits that I sold on Trade me to earn extra money.
As I come from a large family of 5 girls and 1 boy, being the eldest daughter, I have been involved in taking care of my younger siblings as in, cooking, cleaning, washing and minding the children. I was 12 when my youngest sister was born and I was very involved helping my mother take care of her when she was a baby/ toddler. More recently my eldest brother, who is now married, has a child and I have been involved in taking care of her as well.
Application Background:
I am actively passionate about art, I was accepted at a course in Design and Arts but I have decided that will be something I will pursue in the future.
At this stage of my career I am focused on building experience with young children and to further my experience in that area.
Throughout my young adult life I have been home educated and really enjoyed the home environment, further on I started applying for courses to extend my interests and to pursue my career options. This has helped me discover what it is that I want to do with my life. I think being a creative person works well with children and goes hand in hand with working with children.
I am a fun-loving, relaxed, and flexible person. I do accept fair boundaries/ routines but prefer it to be relaxed also. I consider myself honest and hardworking with a pleasant manner, I do get on well with most people that I meet and enjoy the company of children of all ages. I am a non-smoker and I enjoy being in good health. At this stage I am living at home with my family and when I find a position that will change. My interests include, for example, cooking, piano, art, health, fitness, outdoor activities, comics, books and family and friends are also important to me.
I look forward to hearing from you
Yours Faithfully
Emily Kelly
