Olivia Toner
Well my name is Olivia, I am 18 and I live with my younger sister, my older brother and my mum. I am currently studying childcare which is a 2 year course.
I have been babysitting my cousins since I was 10 and I continue to do I, and I love it. Alothough alot if my family have moved to live abroad I still get a chance to visit my younger cousins. I recenly went to London for a month to look after my cousins who were age 2, 4, 8 and 10. This was a full time job as I has to get the children up at 7:30 make their breakfast, get them ready and be out the door for 8 I then had to walk the children to school as well as collecting them. Once I had collected them I has find a way to occupy the younger children while the older ones were still at school. This involved taking them to the park, taking them to lunch etc. I then had to make lunch and have dinner ready for everyone at a certain time. This helped with my punctuality and time keeping.
Some days I had to take the children to extra activities for example swimming, gymnastics, sing along classes etc. Apart from looking after the children I also had to keep the house clean. My job consited of putting the children to bed also as I was looking after them from 7:30 to 9:00.
My GCSE qualifications include; English language, English lit, drama, Religion, Learning for Life and Work and art.
I have the ability to work with all age groups and have had experience with all age groups. I find it easy to pick up routines and rules quickly. I am also very artistic which means I find it easier to arts and crafts which are fun with the children. I live working with children so I find this a perfect job. Also through out my experience I have learnt to cook well as well as cooing healthy. I'am also very tidy and clean so if anything is needed done during the day iam willing to help.
