Additional Info:

I am a fully qualified level 2 and 3 Nursery Nurse, I currently have 4 years experience within a strong, fast moving private nursery. During my time at the nursery I have formed many positive bonds with both parents and children, and have gained many regular babysitting jobs from this. As well as looking after the children in the evenings I have also on few occasions taken children out for the whole day.

I believe and understand that children need to have structure and routine within their childhood, to enable a healthy upbringing and a good start to their adult hood. Children need to be praised, encouraged, and loved, it is vital to encourage independence throughout each day of their lives, to enable development of their confidence and self esteem, many activities can promote this development, simple things such as putting on their own shoes, putting on their own coats etc.
I believe that it is important for children to engage in adult and other children’s company, making new friends , especially if a child is of school, or pre-school age. Simple activities are available to cover all six areas of a child’s development and can be structured throughout the day, children learn through play, activities need to be fun and also educational.
I have worked with children of all ages from 3 months to 5 years, I have also worked in a holiday club that we have within our nursery grounds, the children within the club are ages between 5 and 11 years .
I am an outgoing, active, caring, kind and very nurturing person, I understand there will be expectations and will respect all parents wishes and guidelines. I am a very hard working person, who likes to step into new challenges . I enjoy arts and craft activities, I also enjoy going to the gym, shopping and socialising with friends.
I have enjoyed my time within the nursery thoroughly, but feel as if I now need a new challenge, and other children may be able to benefit from skills that I have gained along the way.
