My Philosophy/What I can bring to your family:
I believe that I am a patient, well organized, honest and reliable person. I am easy to get along with and a good communicator. I love cooking so your children will have a nice cooked meal every day as I believe good nutrition is good for a healthy mind. I can relate to all ages of children from 2 weeks old up to 14 years old, and have worked with boys and girls. I believe I can create a stable, loving, safe and nurturing environment for the child while the parents are at work. I am very flexible and fit in with what the parents require and expect for
me to do for their children. Looking after children is not a job but a privilege as they are a gift and you only realize that when you don’t have children of your own.

My Childcare Experiences:
I am the eldest out of 4 children being 3 boys currently aged 28, 30 & 37. I use to help my mom look after my brothers from a young age of 8. Change nappies, bath, and play and look after them if we went to the shops especially when they could start walking that was quite a
job itself having to keep 3 boys from running in and through clothes.

Since I was a teenager I was always interested in looking after children and use to babysit my cousin’s children even twins.
I started looking after my friends, nieces kids since the age of 18. They always said I would make a great mother.

I had a foster child for 2 years he came to us at the age of 4 and left at the age of 6.

Ages that I have looked after was from 2 weeks old up until 14 years old. My friends and family use to leave their children with me for a weekend at a time and go away and fully trusted me that I would take care of the children. Before I started fostering my son for 2 years I use to go and fetch 2 girls (4 & 8 yrs) from a less fortunate house every 2nd weekend and look after them and treat them, they really enjoyed spending time with me and I with them.

My Qualifications:
I don’t have a formal qualification in being a nanny or babysitter but I believe through my experience looking after kids since for so many years I am fully qualified to look after your children. I am looking into doing an Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate and also studying to be an assistant at a daycare centre. I am also looking into doing a
first aid course.
