Personal Statement:
I have completed a Level 5 Nanny Certificate at Ashton Warner Nanny Academy. Before this course I worked as a gymnastics coach for four years and eleven months, I worked with children from the ages of 12 months to 8 years old. I would like to work as a full time nanny or part time nanny. I would like to use my skills relating to children to enhance children’s lives.

Philosophy:
I believe that in child care, you must treat every child as an individual. Treat all children with respect, and build trust and a secure relationship with children so the children or child can feel safe when they are in your care. My goal is to provide opportunities where a child can develop physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
I feel it is very important to have patience when you have children in your care.
I feel that children should be allowed to have choices from a young age but also be aware that there are boundaries.

Qualifications:
I have completed a Level 5 Nanny Course at Ashton Warner Nanny Academy. I finished this course in October 2010. This course involved a first aid course, water safety course, infant / child care, communication, home management, child safety, 13 weeks on placement with families, a school and an Early Childhood Centre placement. We also focused on human development, which involved cognitive development, social development, emotional development. I also completed level 1 and level 2 NCEA.
