Kio Ra~ My name is Joey Cheong and I was born in Malaysia, a country with diverse culture. I love art since I was young and soon developed my creativity more widely. I studied graphic design and graduated as a diploma holder in Malaysia in 2006, thereafter I found myself very passionate with children and art and I started to work part time in art centre to teach children from age 4 12years old on weekend. During the period working in Montessori with children aged 2-3 after graduated has proven my abilities to work with children and improved my skill as a child caretaker and I have been offered to teach art after school time from the same Montessori.
I have teaching experience with children aged 4- 6 years old and develop a new skill on my communication with different age of children to get different elements for my teaching such as the important of protecting our nature environment and how can we all make the world a better place. Childrens are much involved on hand practice in my class as we all share the ideas on how we make things happen.
Support and motivating children to work under a group as a team created a better interaction and communication skill for them to learn in a friendly environment. I will continue to dedicate with my expertise for the children where there is a need and I am looking forward to move ahead on children education with more love and happiness for the childrens.
As I am teaching the childrens in my class, there is much more to offer for me on learning from childrens by express themselves in creative ways. Together we learn and share the best we have in ourselves.
I truly get inspired from the following phrase:
100 years from now
It will not matter what my bank account was,
The sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove,
But the world may be different
Because I am important in the life of a child.
