I recently graduated from Sheffield University having completed an English Language and Linguistics degree. Although I do not yet hold any qualifications for childcare I am an enthusiastic and committed worker. eager to continue working with children. Through volunteer experiences I have worked with nursery, primary and secondary children - through the Millennium Volunteers Scheme, the Students Associate Scheme and a placement organised through the University. I also have experience through work as a mother's helper every Saturday for a year, looking after a 2-year-old and helping with his 12-year-old brother who has Aspergers Syndrome and his 14-year-old sister with serious brain damage. I have also helped take care of my young cousin when he was 2 years old and more recently with my nieces: a 1-year-old, 5-month-old and a 2-week-old. I love working with children, whatever the age, I am creative, dedicated and caring, I remain calm during stressful periods and work well under-pressure and deadlines. I have an interest in all school subjects and am well able to help with homework and studying. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information or have questions to ask.
