I am 25 years old, and recently moved back to London after spending a year studying in the Netherlands. I am a musician by profession (I play the bassoon, and graduated from the Royal College of Music before continuing my studies in the Hague), but I love working with children, and much of my music teaching involves teaching children.
As far as working with children is concerned, although I have no formal qualifications, I have a lot of experience. Whilst I was living in Holland, I was a part-time nanny for a small boy of 5. My work involved collecting him from school 3 or 4 times per week, entertaining him until his parents' return and cooking his evening meal. I also was frequently asked to stay over when his parents were working away, when my responsibilities also included bathing him, reading to him, putting him to bed and then getting him up and ready for school the next morning and dropping him off.
Also whilst in Holland I worked as an occasional evening babysitter for a family who had 3 children (aged 5, 3 and 9months). My responsibilities included feeding them, playing with them and putting them to bed, and tending to the baby when she awoke during the night.
In England, my work with children is often in a teaching capacity. I teach children as young as 5, and also do music workshops with children of all ages. I find this work both enjoyable and rewarding!
I babysit frequently for my 5 year old cousin, often staying at her house for a week at a time when she has school holidays and her parents have to work.
I have experience working with special needs children, as I worked as a volounteer on a Bernado's summer school for two consecutive years. My responsibilities included feeding, changing and entertaining the children, and ensuring their safety and welfare.
Through my music teaching work, I have a current CRB check.

Fees

£ 10.00 Pounds Per Hour
As a basic rate I charge £10 per hour before midnight. After midnight I ask that this is increased to £12. When occasion arises that there is no/limited public transport to take me home after working late evenings, I would ask for taxi fare.
