I am a mother of a 2year old son, I am an avon representitive, i am 20years old and love spending time with my son and partner, and my dog!! I was a student until my son became ill with menijitis so have been unable to finish my qualification but have had expeience in 3 different childcare settings for 3month period in each and am very confident with children and hope to start my studies again soon!

My role was to ensure the children were welcomed into the nursery and a helped them engage in activities that I had set up. I had to organise and set up activities to promote the different stages in the children’s development and made them fun and interesting for them. I helped prepare and give the children their snacks ensuring it was done in a hygienic way. I helped the children with everyday task such as getting coats on, using the toilet etc. I also helped with the general organisation in the nursery such as cleaning. I carried out observations on the children to see if they were developing at the correct rate and to highlight any improvements in the teaching that may be necessary for individual children.

My role was to help the children with their learning i.e. reading and writing skills and PE. I set up activities to help them with their learning and development to suit their age and that will be enjoyable to them. I especially liked doing the craft activities. I ensured the room was kept clean and safe for the staff and children. I often prepared snack for the children and often had the responsibility of a group of children. I worked very well with the staff and they valued my input and opinions. I made sure that I'm always in correct dress code and dressed smartly.
