I have just completed my Psychology degree at the University of Chester where I specialised in Clinical and Counselling Psychology and Developmental Disorders. I worked for Mencap (part time) for two years and the challenge that I faced when working with the children was a fantastic learning experience. I worked with the children on a one-to-one basis, as well as holding a Saturday club for a larger group of the children. Many of them had complex needs and had both physical and mental disabilities. I feel that my time with Mencap improved both my responsibility skills and organising skills. The experiences and training that I have been fortunate to complete has given me the confidence on handling challenging behaviours in various situations. I feel incredibly confident in my ability to deal with such changing situations.
I am fortunate enough to have full first aid training as well as LDAF qualification which includes manual handling, food hygeine and personal care.
I have also worked as a part time nanny for the past three years for an 8 year old girl collecting her from school and completing all after school care until bedtime. I worked in a summer camp for four years with children aged 5-15 as well as working in a school for one year so i am extremely competent in working with children.
I am an active person who loves to be kept busy and has a huge enthusiasm towards life.
